Assignment 2 - Calligram For this assignment, I used illustrator to create this project. I read a book called Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson and I was very touched by this book and I decided to use quotes from that book. I created holding hands in hopes for the world to accept one another and also in hopes for peace and love. I created three circles to add the theme of becoming one. I had difficult times outlining the line of the fingers with the pen tool, however, as I got used to the program I was able to perfect it and make it look more realistic.

Project 1 - Canvas Since summer ended, I decided to do my first project on the theme of summer and beach. Ironically, even though summer ended, I go to the beach more often during my semester since I usually go back to Japan for my summer break and I barely go to the beach there. We used HTML5 Canvas and it had to contain at least 10 shapes including bezier and quadratic curves. The hardest part of this assignment was probably creating the sun since I had to adjust each orange line perfectly against the yellow circle.
